Rudyard Lake Management Blocks Rudyard Sailability
Following our five-year battle with Staffordshire Moorlands District Council, which culminated in Rudyard Sailability overturning the planning rejection of the new boat store though a public enquiry in February, Rudyard Sailability received the good news that we had won our appeal. It was hoped that the next phase of the project could then begin, raising funds.
Recently, Rudyard Lake Ltd has taken the decision not to provide Rudyard Sailability with the
necessary
lease for the bay area. This means that we now have a further battle to change the mind of Rudyard Lake Ltd so that our New Boat Store can be built.

Charlotte would like to hear from supporters of Rudyard Sailability and is a very active trustee of Rudyard Sailability.

and registering your protest. It's easy to do and only takes a few seconds.
By protesting you will be letting British Waterways and Rudyard Lake Ltd know that you support Rudyard Sailability.
Without a lease on the Bay Area of Rudyard Lake, Rudyard Sailability would find it difficult to continue offering our service to the disabled people of Staffordshire and surrounding areas. We may even have to close completely.
Please do not let this happen.
We have fought hard to build our club and make it a Centre of
Excellence, a leading RYA club for disabled sailors and their families.

Dear Sailabilty Team,
Everyone at the NSAAA would like to thank you for providing us with a fantastic day.Our members are still talking about it and we all left with a wonderful feeling that money can't buy! We enjoyed meeting you all and we were very impressed with your volunteers and the patience and kindness shown to us. The highlight of my day was when one of our little boys finally plucked up the courage to go out on the water after he had tried for a couple of hours getting closer and closer to the boat but giving up each time, eventually he got into the boat, off we went and his face was a picture, he enjoyed himself so much and his Dad was so grateful. Thank you, thank you, thank you, please keep up the good work. You are making a difference, not only to disabled people but also their families and carers who live to see them smile. I was very surprised to learn that there was a possibility of your closure due to a small piece of land that is not being made available to rent, rather I would have thought you would have been supported wholeheartedly because of the job that you are doing and the input you are putting into peoples lives.I do hope there is a turnaround and that we can come again next time for another good day. With
Many Thanks
Fiona Caddy (NSAAA Helpline)
